Who This School Helps Most
Provo Mountain Academy is a strong fit for families looking for more than a one-size-fits-all school experience.
We are especially helpful for students who need more challenge, more support, or more individualized instruction than they are getting in a traditional classroom.
Students who are capable, but not being challenged
Some students are bright, curious, and ready for more — but in larger settings, they become bored, disengaged, or under-challenged.
At Provo Mountain Academy, we work to make learning interesting, appropriately challenging, and thought-provoking so students stay engaged and continue growing.
Students who need help catching up academically
Some children need focused support to rebuild confidence and close skill gaps in areas like math, reading, writing, or language.
Our small setting allows us to identify where a student is struggling, meet individual needs, and help them make real academic progress.
Some families want academic rigor, but they do not want a school experience that crushes curiosity or turns learning into constant test-prep.
Students can be supported and challenged while still loving school.
Students who need support without losing their love of learning
Our School at a Glance

At Provo Mountain Academy, we believe students don’t need more school—they need better school.
As a full-time private K–6 program, we provide a complete and consistent academic experience. Our small classes and focused instruction ensure that time is used well, not wasted.
At the same time, we value the role of parents and intentionally create space for meaningful involvement in each child’s education.

We intentionally keep our school small to ensure every student receives meaningful, individualized attention.
Instruction is primarily delivered through small groups and one-on-one support, allowing teachers to meet students exactly where they are.
While targeted instruction takes place, students also engage in hands-on play and interest-based projects that deepen understanding and foster a genuine love of learning.
What do our Parents Say?
Mr. Long taught our daughter for 2 years, and substantially helped our daughter grasp concepts she was struggling with. He did this while helping her flex the strengths she already has.
He was understanding and helped our daughter continue to love learning and strive to be a learner and not just pass tests I highly recommend their services.
Travis B.
Our son had been in charter schools previous years. He felt he was not challenged academically, and was bored. One year with Mr. Long and he was excited daily about going to school. He said, "Mr. Long makes learning fun. It is interesteing and I feel challenged and have to think about solutions in more depth."
For my husband I, Mr. Long's teaching style was not about regurgitation of text book facts. He encourages individual thinking with his students.
