Meet the Team
Scott Long
Co-Founder | Educator
Scott is an elementary educator who has spent his career working in classrooms and thinking deeply about how children learn best. He earned his undergraduate degree in elementary education and later completed a master’s degree in education to further study teaching, learning, and school leadership.
Scott has taught in both public and private school settings, experiences that helped shape his belief that strong academics, thoughtful structure, and financial responsibility all matter in a healthy school. He is especially passionate about reading & math instruction, hands-on science, and creating learning experiences that feel meaningful rather than rushed or trend-driven.
At the heart of his work is a simple goal: to build a school where strong academics and curiosity live side by side. A place where students grapple with real ideas, build and test things with their hands, ask big questions, and learn that effort, persistence, and thinking deeply matter just as much as getting the right answer.

Cole is a senior at Brigham Young University studying biochemistry. As he completes his undergraduate degree, he is preparing for the MCAT with the goal of attending medical school, where he hopes to continue a career centered on service, science, and helping others. His academic work has included undergraduate biomedical research, and he has been published as a co-author in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
Cole brings a strong work ethic to everything he does. In addition to his academic pursuits, he serves as president of the BYU Club Water Polo team, where he leads fellow student-athletes while balancing the demands of research, service, and rigorous coursework. Whether in the classroom, on the pool deck, or in the community, he believes consistent effort and a willingness to improve are the foundations of meaningful success.
At Provo Mountain Academy, Cole provides reading support and Spanish instruction, helping students build strong literacy skills while fostering curiosity about language and communication. His instruction is guided by the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham principles, emphasizing explicit, systematic instruction that helps every student build confidence through steady progress.

Tressa is an educator and learning leader with experience in both K–12 education and organizational learning. She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education and later completed an MBA to better understand leadership, operations, and the systems that support effective learning environments.
She currently leads learning and development at Greenix, where she works with teams and leaders to design thoughtful, practical approaches to growth and improvement. That experience has strengthened her belief that schools—like any healthy organization—must be both mission-driven and responsibly managed.
Tressa brings a deep understanding of teaching, adult learning, and organizational development, along with a strong commitment to building a school that is intentional, sustainable, and centered on students.
